In 2012 Royal College of Art Students’ Union (RCASU) established the Royal College of Art Christmas Fete as a traditional indoors Christmas market. In March 2018 RCASU hosted an Easter Fair in Battersea and, in December 2018, RCASU hosted two days of the Christmas Fete in White City at Westworks. With positive feedback from stallholders and the public RCASU is pleased to be hosting a Spring Pop Up in White City in 2019.
If you would like to take part in the Spring Pop Up, please fill in this form. If you have any questions please email email@example.com
Spring Pop Up aims to showcase the creative and unique talents of the RCA to the wider community in a welcoming atmosphere. As with any event organised by the RCASU, students are at the centre of the occasion. As a stallholder you will earn 100% of the sales that you make, while we provide the environment – a space in which to hold the market, a card payment system, and the overall marketing, equipment, and security of the event. In conjunction with the RCA, we send a press release about the Fete to all major newspapers.
Our visitors traditionally include the friends and family of students, staff and alumni of the RCA. In White City we aim to reach local residents and businesses and build on connections that have been forming over the past two years.
It is important to note that in the last three years, the Christmas Fete and Easter Fair has been extremely successful in attracting attention from the media, the general public and within the college. Last year the Fete raised over £30,000 in sales for the students who took part, raising valuable funds for their projects. The biggest advantage of the event is that the public gets a chance to meet up and coming makers, speak to them about their products and ideas, and contribute directly to the continuation of their practices.
