Come and get to know the Feminist society over a drink at the Artbar. There will be introductions, a chance to share ideas for the coming year and fabulous chat with your fellow feminists.
TUESDAY 25th Sept.
Gorvy Lecture Theatre – Battersea
We’re kicking off the year in a light hearted fashion with Beautiful Thing – a touching and humourous film that tells the story of two working class boys who fall in love on a council estate in Rotherhithe in the 90’s. After the Vice Chancellor’s reception join our resident karaoke host Aleksi Remsu for a night of cheesy classics and proud performances. This is the first of three karaoke nights this term in the ARTbar. Not to be missed.

Native Instincts is a night organised by School of Communication students for all RCA students and the surrounding community. The Royal Amateur Expedition Society are starting off the new term with a long walk on Hampstead Heath to get some fresh air, clear heads and welcome members new and old. Meet at 8.30am at the Parliament Hill Café on the Heath. All welcome. [Dress appropriately- walking shoes/trainers and a coat if it’s raining! 7PM-2AM WELCOME WEEK DEBRIEF, Artbar – Kensington
It’s fair to say we’re partial to a good party at the RCA! This is the first big one of many to come during your time here. Our resident DJ Emmy & co from School of Architecture will be keeping you moving with some refreshed beats. Expect to meet new people from across all courses and campuses and be left hyped for the new academic year.
SUNDAY 30th Sept.
1PM – CYCLING CLUB – CYCLE TO KEW GARDENS
Join the RCA|CC on their first ride of the year to Kew Gardens at a steady pace, stopping occasionally for breaks. Once you arrive you can have a look around the gardens then cycle back to Hammersmith and have a drink and some food at one of the pubs by the Thames. After that you’ll ride back to Kensington for 5pm. Meet at the Jay Mews entrance, Kensington, at 1pm.
THURSDAY 4th Oct. 7pm – 2am
We really meant it when we said we like to party! We’ve an absolute treat in store for you at Brixton Jamm. We’re talking a night of live acts, bands, Dj’s and all to be hosted by the wonderful Mary Poppers.
