Thoughts on the Windrush Generations: living in the womb of a scornful mother (country)

Details

13/10/2020
13:00 - 14:15

Prof William 'Lez' Henry will take you on an interactive audiovisual journey of the hidden struggles of Black people in the UK for equal rights and social justice, before and since the arrival of the Windrush Generations in 1948.

Lez will shed light on the historical treatment of peoples of African ancestry by racist Europeans, to explain why said generation came here in the first place. This means he will tackle the very public scandals that have shamed this, and previous Governments, exposing how historically they use their whiteness and white privilege to militate against Black people in every area of human activity in the UK.
